This is a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt my brother showed me. "I have been to the front lines and seen the boys. The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corp" What a group of people they must be to go out and do what they do. I know I am thankful to all men and women who serve in the United Stated armed forces.

School Easter and Mini Relay
Last week the Desoto ECC sponsored a mini relay for breast cancer. The kids each brought home a plastic egg to fill with coins, (coins for a cure) in which they were able to raise over $400. Way to go kids. We were also able to buy tee shirts for them that said we are walking for a cure because pink is not our color and Go Carla on the back. Our school colors are green and white. We also had an Easter party on Thursday. There was treats all week last week!
North Carolina
The past 3 days Dad and I were in NC visiting my brother and his family before he heads off to Afganistan to defend the fight for freedom. I am so proud of the man he has become. We had a great time. Richie and my dad tried out old marine moves vs new marine moves and although it looked like dad won I think Richie may have been taking it easy on him. And the one of me fighting with him looks like I was winning, but I assure you I wasn't! His boys Austin and Alex are both getting so big! I wish I could have spent more time with Becky, but she had to work and I want to thank her for the intro to "Lots of Tots" YUM! And I can't wait to go back and stay longer, next time I told the kids that I would take them.
