Like Angie said I can't believe there are 7 of them now. And they are getting so big! Sunday Austin and Alex were over at Dad's, (they are on a cycle break and visiting Becky's mom) so we all went to dad's to visit. Everyone had so much fun. Its fun to see all the kids playing together. Miranda sometimes gets a little tired of all the boys, but is a pretty good sport and hangs tough! And of course what is a day at pa pa's without dirt! I thought for sure someone was going to end up with stitches! Especially when Matthew walked out with a chisel and Joe came out with a triangls shaped hoe. Dominic was more into his "popcorns" aka acorns than he was the dirt. But all in all everyone survived and had a good time. Even the new puppy Furbie survived.

She's 8
Saturday Miranda celebrated her 8th birthday. We went to Red Robin for her dinner and had cake and ice cream at home. On the 11th we are going to have her big birthday party along with Michaels. I can not believe she is already 8years old. Time is going by so fast. A couple of weeks ago her and I were home by ourselves. ( the boys had guy stuff to do) so she asked if I would put some of my "real" make up on her. And man did she look so much older. Not to mention beautiful! Although that was no surprise to me! It just gave me such a closer look at the fact that it won't be long and she will be wearing make up and having boys call the house and OMG dating! Isn't there some bubble to put them in to keep them from growing up so fast? To make it even more surreal was the fact the one thing she said she wanted for her birthday was a diary with a lock on it! I really am not ready for all this!

Military Punishment
Tonight while cleaning up Matthew's room I found his GI Joes in the corner so I said hey Mattie whats this he said "well Mom I'll tell you, they wouldn't listen to the boss so they had to go in time out!" I wanted to laugh so bad but he was so serious! I wonder if Uncle Richie has ever gotten a time out? And what you can't see is another one in the bottom left hand corner! I guess he is serious about his time outs!
4-wheeler
The other day Danny got the little 4-wheeler out and let Matthew drive it. Scared me to death! Mattie loved it and is ready to go 4wheelin! He wants some ramps to jump, and "Daddy you need to make this go faster so I can do wheelies!" Yeah, not ready for that! Since then he hasn't even tried to ride the battery operated power wheel, I guess when you have the real thing why bother with the toy? But how cute is he! The John Deer shirt the hole in his jeans! He is 100% all boy!

Science
Last week Danny brought me home roses, just because he is so darn sweet! Any way, one of them was white and after the kids got home from school Michael told Danny that if we put the white one in blue water the flower would turn blue. So Danny not believeing Michael said okay if it turns blue I will give you 20 dollars, if not you only get the 10 from your allowance. Well Danny now owes Michael 20 dollars! It's nice to know they are paying attention in school!
Field Trip
Friday was Matthew's first field trip. The weather and everything was perfect. All the kids were well behaved, well the ones we were with. And Matthew and his friend Grant seemed to have a blast! We rode the train, saw bears, tigers and a ton of other animals, then we went through a special exhibit of animated dinosaurs, they roared, moved and even spit. At first they were a little skittish but soon were fine. At the end they had a place where they could dig for dino bones. But if you ask Matthew what his favorite part was he will tell you "riding on the bus!" I hope he keeps that attitude!

Concern for a friend
The things that kids say will never cease to amuse me! Tonight Matthew came home from our neighbors (his best friend Jacob), because Jacob had gotten into trouble, well Mattie had this look in his eye that said I better go talk to Jennifer to make sure Matthew was not a part of "Jacob's" getting in to trouble. Well he was innocent. Jennifer said he was fine. So we were standing there talking and after Jacob was out of time out the boys started playing. Matthew had ridden his bike back to Jacob's (it was to far for him to walk), and Jacob wanted to try Matthews bike. Well Jacob is still on training wheels and is shorter than Matthew. Matthew looked at him and said "I really don't think you should try, this is a big responsibility!" We laughed so hard. He sounded so serious and so concerned for Jacobs well being. He even told Jacob "I just really don't want you to get hurt!" He is such a sweet kid! Tomorrow we go on his first field trip to the zoo. I think I am more excited than he is. It is so fun to watch him with his friends. He has already made two good friends. Grant who is the little brother to Michaels best friend Connor, who believe it or not was born the same day as Matthew the year Connor and Michael were in pre-school together, and Zachary whom he just met. I hope the weather is nice and I will be sure to post pics later.
