N.K.O.T.B.

Here is a blast from the past. The other day I was doing a little Christmas shopping and the kids are in to Naked Brothers Band so I was looking for one of their cds, well I came across New Kids on The Block Super Hits. So yeah I bought it, heck it was only $5. What is even funnier than the fact that I actually listened to it is the fact that I could still sing the songs! Man oh man I am getting old! Me listening to them, is like when my mom would listen to Patsy Cline or one of the old people she used to listen to. Sorry Kids! Hey if anyone would like a copy or to borrow it let me know and we will keep it between you and I! LOL!

True Meaning of Christmas

Last Thursday I got to go to the Casting Crowns Christmas Celebration. And all I can say is AWESOME! I went with my sister and two cousins and had an amazing time. It was great to worship and remember what Christmas is all about. Not only did Casting Crowns perform, but so did Avalon, Michael English?, purnrgy? Natalie Grant and Denver and the mile high orchrestra. Girls I had a blast and am looking forward to doing it again!

Yellow Tips

Last Monday Michael and Miranda tested and received their yellow tips in TaeKwonDo. I am so proud of them. The instructor even told me that even though Matthew will not be 5 until April I could sign him up in Feb. with the other two. He is so excited. I hope they continue to enjoy the classes, it is so easy and close and they are all in the same class!

Pre-School Feast

To celebrate Thanksgiving they hold a feast at the pre-school with different finger food, and the kids sing a sond about Thanksgiving. They made little hat, some pilgrims, some indians and some turkeys. Each class had a different style had! Aren't they so cute!

But I'm not tired!

The other day Matthew was a little crabby so I suggested we take a nap. He insisted he wasn't tired, so he bargined and we watched a movie instead. The previews weren't even over and he was snoring! He was sleeping so good I called the school to have the big kids ride the bus home!

My Birthday!

Danny and the kids got me a cake to celebrate my birthday and could only find these candles! I'm just glade that they didn't put 801! Thanks for a wonderful Birthday I love you guys!

Halloween 2008

Well another halloween is here and gone and all that is left is two tons of candy! Michael and Danny are out of town so it was just me and the other two. First we went begging oh sorry trick or treating down our street, then we went to Harvest Fest up at church. What a blast! They have the giant inflateables, pony rides, hay rides, games face painting, hair painting, and tons of food. All for free. The kids love it and I have fun too. Its nice to go somewhere where the kids can have fun and yet be safe from all the crazies that come out on Halloween. Miranda was an "elegant" witch and Matthew was a royal knight. He was too funny! He ran down the street with his stick horse "Blue Thunder" in one hand and his sword in the other, the whole street was rolling with laughter! He would yell "mom, you got to move faster you have my bag!" He just doesn't understand that mom doest move as quickly as a four year old! Next time we will have to find a way to connect the bag to the horse of something!

TaeKwonDo

This year Michael and Miranda have decided to take TaeKwonDo (Matthew would to but is still to young). They both seem to really enjoy it and have yet to get out of control at home (I'm sure its coming!) Don't they look cute in their gees.

Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins

This year Miranda and Matthew both went to the pumpkin patch for field trips. Matthew recieved a little one then picked out one for the family. Miranda and I both got a small one on her trip and then Allyce gave all 3kids their own pumpkins that came from the garden. The other night the kids and I carved theirs and I let them do their own since I have the kid safe carving tools it was pretty interesting to watch and quiet amusing too. There was pumpkin flying everywhere! We saved the big one to do with Daddy, we want daddy to join in the fun too!

Happy Birthday Michael

Yesterday Michael celebrated his 10th birthday. Double Digits! And he was quick to mention only 6more years until he can drive. YIKES!

From 2days to 10 years

I know I sound silly when I say the kids are growing so fast! But it is so hard for me to believe that my baby has gone from 2days to 10 years in a blink of an eye!

Apple Knockin 2008

This year Danny was hunting and Tony was sick so Angie and I lost our minds and took all 5 kids apple picking by ourselves. We had such a good time. All the kids got along, ate more apples in one day than usually eaten in a month, and if the apple picking wasn't enough they even spent time in the fun corral with inflatables and rides. Matthew and Dominic loves the airplanes, and unfortunatley those are the only pictures I took of the kids on the rides. Maybe next year.

These Better Be the Last Set!

As part of the safety night the county sheriff's department was there and able to finger print the kids. The kids thought it was very cool, but were warned this better be the last set of prints they do. If not they better not call me!

VPP Safety Night

Once a month the Parenting Partnership at school offers a family fun night based on different themes. This month was safety and emergency services. The kids got to see an Air Evac Helicopter, K-9 unit and Elroy the Elk. Elroy is with the Missouri Elks Lodge which runs a Say No to Drugs Unit. The kids had a lot of fun. Their favorite was the K-9 demo. They showed how the dogs followed commands, searched for drups and then attacked a bad guy. Michael and Miranda even got to try on the training sleeve they use to protect from the dog actually biting.
