Miranda is 7

I can not believe that tomorrow my baby girl will be 7! It seems like it was just yesterday that we were heading to the hospital to have her. And I can just as vividly remember her being yanked from my arms, Danny running with her down to the er and not fully understanding what was going on. Then walking into the er and her doctor informing me that they had just called for the medical helicopter to take her to the childrens hospital and they were very uncertain as to why she was so sick. As it turned out she had a septic infection of unknown orgin. But today she is healthy, loving and very out going. Tomorrow we will celebrate as a family. I made her cake today and she has choosen to go to Ryans for dinner, after we will come home for cake and ice cream. Then this year the kids have opted out of a big party together so that they can do something with a friend or two. Miranda has choosen to invite her friend Alicia to go to the salon and have their nails done, followed by lunch and a trip to the mall. Yea she is very much a girly girl! Happy Birthday Baby Girl! I Love You!

Apple Picking 2007

This past Sunday we went to the Apple Orchard with some friends of ours and it was a blast. All the kids got along and their was another little girl for sis to hang out with so for once she wasn't out numbered. We ate lunch, rode some rides and then picked apples. And ate almost as many as we picked. Of course the guys ended up throwing some of the rotten ones at each other, but I think a fun time was had by all. I think the kids had more fun on the rides than anything. Kelly had the big apple spinning so fast that the kids and I couldn't even lift up our heads, it was great. I will post some pictures after I have a chance to download them.

Brotherly Love

Matthew looks up to Michael so much that when Michael is gone, Matthew is almost lost. Last night Michael had a sleepover by himself with Grandma and then today they went to the balloon races. Well all day Matthew kept asking "when will Bubby be here?" So tonight as I was turning off the tv to put him and Miranda to bed I heard car doors. So Michael comes in and tells us that he had a good time and about the balloons, we talk for just a few short minutes because it was late and we are busy tomorrow. So I say okay lets go to bed, when Matthew looks up at me and says "Mommy, I not sleeping in my room, I sleeping with Bubby!" So they fell asleep in Michaels floor with Matthew holding on the Michaels finger. It was such a sweet sight!

Elk

Yesterday we just had a family day. We took the kids out to lunch and then went driving through a park where you can see elk, deer and bison. This is what was on side of the road as we were about to leave. We did see other animals, just not this close. The kids were amazed.

What a Bath

Just had to post this one! The other night Matthew was having a snack and I told him that when he finished he would have to take a bath. And being the quick thinker that he is, he thought since his ice cream would get him dirty he should just eat it in his bubble bath. Who could argue with that!!!

I want to thank everyone for their prayers for my brother and his family. I just wanted to let everyone know that he arrived home this morning and is doing good. I haven't talked to him but my mom said he sounds like he is in good spirits. He is ready to take a shower in his own tub and sleep in his own bed. After a big hug from his wife and kids. Thank you again and lets not forget to pray for the men and women who are still over seas and in harms way!!!!

one cool dude.

In the one picture Matthew is sitting with his friend Carter. Carter lives across the street and came over to play the other morning. It is fun to watch Matthew start to make friendships. Everytime we go some where and there are other kids there he hates to leave because he likes his friends. In the other picture, this is how Matthew came out ready to go to the zoo. He has Miranda's skirt from her tap dance out fit, and hat and glasses and says "I'm one cool dude who is ready to roll!" Where does he come up with this stuff.

Ready for Hunting

This year Danny is taking Michael on the youth season rifle hunt and is planning to hunt from a tree stand. So when I ordered Danny's birthday present a saftey harness, I ordered a youth one as well so Michael would have one. Well the other day we had to test them out in the basement. Are they crazy or what!?!? And I must mention that as it was Matthew's turn he is hanging and says "hey some one give me a push so I can swing!" What am I going to do with hime?
