Six Flags
About 2 weeks ago my sister and I took Michael and Joe to Six Flags for Joe's birthday. We had a blast. The weather wasn't too terribly hot and it was a great time for Ang and I to spend with our two oldest boys. It is not very often that Michael and I get to do anything together, not just because of the other two kids, but because Michael is at an age where doing things with mom just isn't cool anymore so given the chance to have one parent he will usually choose Danny. So I love and savored every minute of it. And I think he enjoyed it almost as much as I did. He really thought he was cool driving me around in the old time cars!

First Day of School
It seems like the summer just got started and already the kids are back in school. I can't believe Michael is already in the third grade and more independent than ever. Time is going by so fast! I am just glad that I still have this year with Matthew before he goes to pre-school next year. We went to the store last week and got all the new supplies that they needed and normally what ever I would pick was fine, how ever this year Michael did not want a back pack he wanted a bag with one strap. I guess that is the cool thing. And now he wants those wheelie shoes, but I doubt he will get those, they cost way to much especially for a pair of shoes he will either grow out of or wear out in less than 6 months. And Miranda doesn't really care as long as it is pink and girlie. How ever the only pink bag was bigger than her and made for a lap top so we were able to talk her in to a pretty green bag. So here we go into the year! I hope their excitement for school will continue!

Update
Thank you to all who prayed for Danny. He had surgery yesterday and is doing pretty well. He is in quite a bit of pain today, but the doctor says he should recover just fine. And as far as the house, it turns out that it was a little more than what we had anticipated so Danny and I have decided to wait to buy. Thank you again for the prayers!

need prayers
The Manning family is in need of prayer this week. First and most important, Danny. He injured his arm Saturday and must have surgery to repair the tendons, and will be on light duty at work for the next 12 weeks, just pray that surgery goes well and so does the recovery. Because we all know that he does not like to sit still very long and not to mention that bow season is coming and he really wants to go hunting. Second, Danny and I are in the process of trying to buy a new home. It is a home we found in foreclosure and have made a pre-auction bid and should find out within the next 2 days if we got the house or if we still have to go to the auction. The house is located in the Wentzville area about 2hrs from where we live now, sure it is a little further away from our families but it has everything we were looking for. It has the land he wants and the pool the kids want the the 2 bathrooms I want. As soon as we pulled into the drive way I immediatly knew this house is ment to be ours. So please pray for us that Danny heals well and fast and that everything goes according to plan with our new house. Not to mention that if we do get the new house I believe Rhonda is going to rent our house until she is ready to buy so two families will benifit from us getting a new house. I will keep everyone updated as soon as we know anything.
