I Can Swim

Last night was the annual family swim with cub scouts and we were all able to go. Well Matthew is always very good about wearing his life jacket and not even questioning it, however last night there were a couple of little ones in the shallow end of the pool with out them so he insisted he wanted to try. I said okay but you have to stay by mommy and where you can touch. It wasn't two seconds later and he was underwater swimming. Not just flopping around but actually swimming! I guess I will have to look into getting some swim lessons for my little fish! And just to add he did not give us any trouble when he was ready to go jump off the side and down the water slide about putting the life jacket back on. The boy is crazy!

Mom's Birthday

This year my mom turned 50 so my sister and I gave her a surprise party! (with the help of our wonderful husbands!) We had it at a park near my sisters house that has a sprinkler so all the kids would be able to stay cool and we wouldn't have to hear them complain about the heat all day. Anyway she was surprised and everyone had a great time. The biggest surprise came in her present. My sister and I made her a scrapbook, we had gotten pictures from my grandma and some from when we were little, but I think the best page was the one of my brother! He sent a picture of himself (at Angie's request) and he was holding a sign that said Happy 50th b-day! It was a nice surprise!

Happy 4th of July

Every year we spend the 4th of July at my Grandma's because it is her birthday. This year she turned 80, unfortunatley we were only able to stay for a couple of hours but it was nice to see her. Happy Birthday Grandma! After my Grandma's we went home and rested then spent the rest of the day swimming and play at Unkie Ben's house and we all had a blast it is so awesome to spend the time with Danny's brother Ben and his family! We did our usual fireworks, smokeballs, snaps and parachutes. But the kids insisted that we had to do a couple of tanks in honor of Uncle Richie who is currently deployed in Iraq. Then we watched to big fireworks display in town at Unkie Bens who lives close to where the show was. What an awesome 4th!

Indiana

This past weekend we went to Indiana to visit with my family and Danny's brother for the weekend. We stayed for two nights with Tony and Kelly and had a wonderful time. Danny and Tony played golf and the kids had a blast. Monday evening we went to a sprinkler park and the kids all played in the water. What a wonderful time. I must admit one of my favorite parts was when I was left with all 5 kids while Kelly had to work for a few hours and Tony and Danny got to play golf. What a special time for me to spend with Bryce and Brayden. Thank you Tony, Kelly and boys for such a wonderful time I am looking forward to seeing you all again.
