Red Boots

Every kid will come across that one article of clothing that they love to wear. Michaels was a power ranger shirt, Miranda had her pretty dress and Matthew well he has his red rubber rain boots. He started wearing them last summer and they are now almost to small but yet he insist he has to wear them. The other day he fell asleep in them on the couch. Tomorrow my mom is taking all 7 grandkids to have their pictures taken together. I only hope I can talk him in to a different shoe. Mom said its no big deal if he has to wear his boots. I'll post more on that later. But here is his picture of him sleeping in his boots.

Mother Daughter Campout 2007

One thing that I have looked forward to since Miranda has joined scouts was the Mother Daughter events that they hold. This weekend was our very first campout. We had so much fun. It was great to focus all my attention on just her. And I think she enjoyed not having to share me with her brothers. We hiked, did crafts, sang songs, and just spent time together. What a blast! I can not wait until the next one.

Feeding the Birds

One love that the kids have learned from my dad is feeding the birds. They have so much fun doing it with Grandpa that we got some bird feeders to put up at our house. One day Matthew noticed they were empty so we had to run out and feed them. The older kids were in school.

Brothers

I always enjoy watching the kids play together, but this was one of the sweetest things I had seen at the end of a very long day. It was cute to see Matthew rubbing Michael's head, like Michael has done for him so many times.

My Crazy Baby!

Matthew is always doing or saying something to make me laugh. And the other day was no different. I was cleaning in my room when he came dancing in and said "Mommy I am one cool dude!" And all I could say was "Yes you are" He is always making me smile. Especially when I think he is going to drive me crazy. The other night he and Danny were fighting and he put his fist up wiggled his little butt and in the most serious of voices said "Daddy put it on" I think he was meaning to say bring it on, and once again we laughed like crazy!

Michael and Grandpa

With Danny's sometimes crazy schedule sometimes I need a little help from my dad. So one night Michael needed some help making a pinewood derby car so dad came down to help. I know it was an evening that Michael still talks about and will never forget. That car is his and Pa pa's!

Daddy's little helper

It is always fun to watch the kids try to help Danny especially when he is trying to fix something. The other day we were having problems with our bath tub, so Danny got out some tools and was going to work on it. Before we knew it Matthew was in the tub grabbing tools and ready to help.
