Just a day with the baby

Last Friday was kind of a special day for Danny and I. We got to take just Matthew to the pumpkin patch. It was with the Parents as Teachers group with the school, and the other two older kids had to go to school that day. I don't think that we have ever taken just Matthew to some where like that. It is kind of hard to do with three kids. I know that as he gets older he won't really remember it but I think I always will. He was so excited to ride on the tractor and play on the playground and go through the Haunted House. (okay so it was just one of those big blow up things but hey he's two it was pretty scary to him!) , but he was really excited to pick out his little pumpkin, and being the sweet kid that he is he also picked one out for bubby and sissy.

Yeah for me!

Matthew used the big boy potty 3 times today. How exciting is that. It was so very cute. We finally broke down and got him just a little potty chair. He always seems very excited to use the one at my granma's house and after changine diapers for 8 years now I am willing to try just about anything. Anyways, every time he would use it we would make a big deal of it and say "yeah Matthew you did it!" Well after the first time he started yelling "Yeah for me!" He was so proud of himself. We had to call Daddy at work. I just hope he keeps it up. I know he wont go to school in diapers, but I can't wait to not have to drag all that stuff with us everty time we leave.

Birthday Fun

This weekend was Michael and Miranda's Birthday party. I can not believe how big they are getting. Michael will be 8 and Miranda turned 6 two weeks ago. Time is going by so fast. It won't be long and we will be celebrating Matthew's third birthday. I wish I could keep them this size forever. Well most days! We had a great day for their party. The weather was pefect and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It was after they opened their gifts that I truely realized how big they are getting. Michael got a skateboard that he can't hardly wait to try out and Miranda got a lap top computer that she did not need help to figure it out. But the funniest thing that Miranda got was Tanner the pooping barbie dog. It is hysterical!

Apple Pickin Fun

This past Saturday Danny and I decided to take the kids to Eckerts Fun Farm and do some apple picking. We had a blast. Not only did we all get tummy aches from eating as many apples as we picked but the kids got to ride ponies, and go down a huge underground slide. It was the first time Matthew ever went and he had so much fun. The kids said their favorite part was watching the "Jack-O-Lobber" show. It was a big cannon like thing and they shot pumpkins out of it. It was very cool. It was also fun for them to spend the day with Grandma. My mom went with us and the kids always love when ma-ma goes with us. So I would suggest if their is an Eckerts fun farm around any of you with small children that you take them to visit. What a fun day!
